About Naomi Akita

Naomi Akita, MD attended elementary school at Mililani Waena and was the Valedictorian of Mililani High School class of 1991. For college, she graduated magna cum laude from Washington University in St.Louis and lived in Japan for a year. She studied medicine at the world's first maternity hospital at the University of Dublin, Trinity College. Her internship was done in Philadelphia and her residency at Kapiolani Medical Center where she delivered over 500 babies. She currently lives in Mililani and is pleased to return to her hometown and give back to her community. Look for her monthly Womens Health article in the Ka Nupepa.
